R & L Engines is currently in need of an experienced engine machinist who is interested in working in a modern well equipped custom engine shop.
Job Classification: Custom & Performance engine machinist.
Overall experience: 3 - 5 years.
Position description: Job duties and responsibilities:
* Disassemble & inspect engines, write report on teardown
* Strong familiarity with various cleaning processes
* Experience in machining blocks & cylinder heads, including set up and
operation of CNC machines
* Previous experience using precision measuring tools
* Knowledge and experience of various cylinder head machining and repair
processes
* Strong written and verbal communicational skills
* Strong organizational skills
* Cylinder head, flow test experience a plus
* Experience with balancing rotating assemblies is a plus
* Must have own tools
Required skills/experience: 2 year college degree in Engineering, Automotive
Technology or equivalent.
*Basic computer skills
*Precision machining skills
*Good math and mechanical skills
*Valid Driver license and good driving record
*Drug screen
